## How it works

### Request

Approve each payment the same way you would approve a transfer. Atum never has keys to your account.

### Accept

Atum accepts the payment request after checking it against your rules.

### Quote

Independent providers quote a price to complete the transfers. One quote is selected.

### Deliver

The selected provider sends money on the receiving network. Your funds stay on hold until delivery is confirmed.

### Confirm

A receipt with confirmation is provided for each payment’s origin and destination.

Funds stay in a settlement vault until delivery is proven, or they’re refunded.
